What Can Video Add to the Learning Experience? Challenges and Opportunities
Abstract
This paper explores the rationale for bringing videos into the language classroom. It studies the various reasons why videos are effective teaching and learning tools. Building on theoretical approaches and classroom real practice, the paper discusses the benefits and techniques of embeddingvideos into the language classroom. The discussion focuses mainly on the videos as a motivator, a source of authentic and varied language, a visual context, and a factor of variety and flexibility.
